What a market searches for, who answers it, and where ad money is wasted
Send us a website or a market. Within 24 hours of your email you get a report: the searches its buyers make each month in the US, which of them the leading competitors have a page for (with the link), and which ones waste ad money. A person checks every row.
Email the site you want checked to [email protected] and get a free sample within 24 hours. Or browse the samples.
What you get
You get rows, not advice. There are four kinds. Rows that show competitors link to the competitor's page. Every row carries its US monthly searches.
- A market demand map. What people in a market search for, grouped by need, with the US monthly searches for each group.
- Competitor coverage and gaps. Which searches the leading competitors have a page for, and which none of them covers, with a link to each page.
- Wrong-audience searches. The searches your ads pay for that never bring a buyer, ready to add as negative keywords in your ad account.
- A site check. One website set against its market: the searches it has a page for, and the ones it lacks.
The four fit together. The demand map sizes the market, the gaps show where to build a page, and the wrong-audience searches show where to stop paying.
What a row looks like
A row is one search need, with its US monthly searches and the leading competitors' coverage. Here is an example market, lead generation in the US.
| Search need | US searches a month | Leading competitors with a page (example) | Link |
|---|---|---|---|
| pay per lead | 390 | Competitor A, Competitor C | link to the competitor's page |
| rank and rent | 320 | Competitor B | link to the competitor's page |
| local lead generation | 260 | Competitor A, Competitor B, Competitor D | link to the competitor's page |
| value of a lead | 170 | none | no page to link: an open gap |
| pay per call leads | 90 | Competitor D | link to the competitor's page |
The searches and their counts are real. Which competitor has a page, and the links, are an example of the layout. A row where no competitor has a page is an open gap: demand that none of the leading competitors answers.
Lead terms by trade
The same kind of count for lead terms in seven trades, in US searches a month:
| Search | US searches a month |
|---|---|
| real estate leads | 2,900 |
| roofing leads | 1,000 |
| insurance leads | 1,000 |
| hvac leads | 720 |
| construction leads | 720 |
| plumbing leads | 320 |
| landscaping leads | 260 |
A whole market, counted: freight factoring
Freight factoring is a B2B finance service. This is a count of the whole market in the US, not a delivered report.
| What was counted | Number |
|---|---|
| Searches | 1,569 |
| US searches a month they cover | about 309,080 |
| Searches that looked relevant but came from the wrong audience | 272 |
| US searches a month an ad account would pay for without getting a buyer | about 24,460 |
That last line is the one a paid search budget feels. About 24,460 US searches a month look like buyers and are not.
